Motivational Monday Link Party #8 | Joy in Our Home

 Happy Monday Everyone!

Welcome to another Motivational Monday! I always enjoy seeing what you talented ladies have been up to during the past week or two! Thanks to everyone who linked up last week… I love going through them all and I’m always inspired by your creativity!

Hosted by: Joy In Our Home, Burlap And Babies, The DIY Mommy

In case you missed it, I shared a fabulous breakfast recipe this week! If you love warm from the oven oatmeal cookies, I know you’ll love my Baked Oatmeal Breakfast. I also shared a tutorial on How to Make a Board and Batten Headboard. I love ours and have gotten so many compliments and asking how my husband built it, so I thought I’d share a tutorial.

Ready to share what motivates you? Link up a post of something that motivates you (or others) to create or just be awesome! Our goal is for this link up to focus on craft, DIY & home posts. Each week, each hostess will feature their favorite from the previous week.  Please do not link Etsy, or other stores, giveaways, or other link parties. Link party goes up Monday and ends at 5:00pm PST on Friday

We have a Frozen birthday party on the horizon so when I saw Carrie from Carrie This Home post the birthday party she had for her little daughter I had to check it out! She shares some tips on having a fun party at the park!

I love this playroom that Katie from Little House of Four shared! It is the perfect space to create and love how organized and easily accessible everything is for little artists!

And now it’s your turn to share…. Happy Linking!

Bread Pudding with Cinnamon Toffee Sauce | Joy in Our Home

Happy Tuesday Friends!

Today, I’d love to share my new favorite dessert with y’all! If you love bread puddings, I know you’ll love this one! Quite often when we’re having company my husband will try a brand new recipe. However, I’m never nervous as he’s a fabulous baker and his desserts always wow me! This was no exception…

Now that fall is here and winter is quickly approaching, we crave comfort foods like chilli, casseroles and hearty main dishes. And a dessert like this is the perfect compliment to a meal like that. The smell of toffee and cinnamon will have your taste buds dancing in anticipation!

Bread Pudding with Cinnamon Toffee Sauce

  1. 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon Skor toffee bits
  2. 3 cups milk
  3. 4 eggs
  4. 3/4 cup sugar
  5. 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  6. 3/4 teaspoon vanilla
  7. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  8. 8 cups 1/2 inch cubed French bread
  1. 1 1/2 cups Skor toffee bits
  2. 2/3 cup whipping cream
  3. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  1. Heat oven to 350F. Grease 13X9 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix together milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and salt in a large bowl with wire whisk. Stir in bread cubes, coating completely. Allow to stand for 10 minutes. Stir in toffee bits. Pour into prepared pan.
  3. Bake 50-55 minutes or until surface is set. Cool 30 minutes.
  1. Combine toffee bits, whipping cream and cinnamon in medium saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until toffee melts and mixture is well blended.
