Hello Friends!

Well, it’s that time again! If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you might remember that I participated in a One Room Challenge Makeover this past spring with a bunch of other fabulous bloggers and the host, Linda from Calling It Home. I tackled our Master Bedroom and we were so happy with how it turned out. In case you’re new to my blog, you can check out the final reveal here.

Even though I have so many other exciting projects and ideas on the go, I decided to do the ORC again this time around. I found with our Master Bedroom Makeover, it kept me motivated and held me accountable each week. There were nights we worked way past midnight but it felt so, so good to transform a room in 6 weeks. So here we go again…

This time around, my husband and I are going to tackle our Laundry Room. I was seriously considering skipping the “before” pictures but to keep things real around here, I’ll show you! But please scroll through the pictures super quick!!! They are scary… but I guess that’s why we’re jumping on board and we hope to have some amazing results with this space!

There used to be a rod that hung underneath the shelf but we’ve taken it down already. This is the space where my husband would love to build some lockers for the kids.

These pictures aren’t the greatest but the room is a little on the skinny side so it’s hard to photograph. When you first come in the door you’ll see to the left is a space where the rod used to hang and a shelf is above it. We also have a big closet by our front door to hang coats in so this space just gets used to store a million other little things. And as you can see, it gets very cluttered!

Now for some beautiful inspiration…

I’ve been searching Pinterest for quite some time, looking for inspiration for our laundry room. Most laundry rooms have white, black or grey washer and dryers and I was on the lookout for some red ones. Some days I wish ours were white (just for decorating purposes), but nevertheless, I love this set and we’ll try and decorate with this bold color. One of my favourite bloggers, Aniko from Place of My Taste, organized her laundry room earlier this year and I just love how it turned out! It is a bright and beautiful space and I’ll be aiming for  look that’s very similar.

I love these lockers and they’d be perfect for the space before you get to the washer and dryer. I love the idea of having a space for each of our children to hang their coats, backpacks and shoes.

So here is The Plan of what we’d like to accomplish over the next 6 weeks:
 1. Get rid of rod and shelf and build lockers.

2. Get baskets for above lockers.

3. Get rid of shelving above washer and dryer and make some brighter, white open shelving.

4. New light fixture.

5. Find some pretty laundry room pictures or printables.

6. Find a rug for in front of washer and dryer.

Thank you so much for coming by and we hope you come check it out our progress each Thursday. It’ll go by very quickly I’m sure and I can’t wait to get started! Have a great week, y’all!!
