Today I’m sharing in another fun blog hop hosted by my talented friend Amber from Follow The Yellow Brick Home. I’m so excited to be joining all these ladies today as we share in Bountiful Baskets – how we decorate our homes for fall using baskets. If you’re stopping over from Kelly at The Tattered Pew, welcome! I always love her style, especially her cozy fall decor!
I have to admit I was a little surprised at my “lack” of baskets. I’m thinking I need to go out and buy more, but as I was looking around our home I noticed I have many trays but not so many baskets. I think we’ll need to fix that 😉
A couple weeks ago I shared our Farmhouse Fall home tour and you might’ve caught a peek at a few baskets around our home in that post.
Let’s take a peek into our living room first…
I always have a tray on our coffee table and for fall I also added a basket I picked up at TJ Maxx. I love the combination of different textures with the wire bottom and the woven top. It’s filled with some cute little pumpkins that I got at Hobby Lobby.
Something you’ll always find in our living room are blankets and throws. I’m always cold and we all love curling up on the couch with a blanket.

Technically, that crate beside the couch isn’t really a ‘basket’ but it holds more blankets and books. It was one of my first DIYs I ever shared on my blog and you can read all about The Great Crate Challenge my friends and I did. I picked up the olive basket on the mantle this fall and added some neutral faux florals in it.
(On a little side note, our fireplace is one of my very favorite makeovers my husband has done in our home. You can see before pictures and how we transformed it in this post. It’s crazy to think of what it used to look like!)
These shelves in our playroom-turned-office are one of my favorite spots to decorate. That little basket that holds the pumpkin on the second shelf was actually in my friend’s trashcan and I rescued it 😉 I can’t let a cute wire basket go to the dump, right??
Here’s a little close up of the shelves. 🙂
I love this old egg basket that holds some more books and magazines. This basket actually holds lots of memories for me. I grew up on a farm and we every fall we used to gather potatoes with these baskets.
And before you go, let’s take a little peek outside at one more basket! I won’t tell you how many of these I have 😉 My husband keeps teasing me that he’ll sell some! I think white pumpkins would look better in them, but I really don’t like buying a ton only to see them get thrown out! These two are actually the ones our kids will carve so that’s why we bought orange ones. 🙂
Thanks SO much for stopping by today! There’s so much more Bountiful Baskets inspiration from all my blogging friends, so pour yourself another cup of coffee or an apple cider and enjoy looking through them all!
