The calendar says it’s officially fall and it’s time to share my first fall post of the season! The weather has been so cold this month and it’s felt like fall for while!
A few of my blogging friend (thanks to Jen from Noting Grace) and I are sharing some fall (and other home décor) DIYs’ today! There’s an assortment of beautiful things you can create and be sure to check them all out at the end of my post! If you’re stopping by from Amy at Cuter Tudor, welcome! Aren’t those little succulents absolutely adorable in her pumpkins!?
I’m sharing a very simple DIY. Sometimes, some crafts or DIYs are so easy that you feel they’re not worth sharing. But I know from the past that my readers enjoy simple diy’s, like this farmhouse banner or this super easy way to update Christmas decor, and so therefore I’m sharing these darling little wreaths today!
It all started when I bought some tobacco baskets and wanted a couple little wreaths for the inside of them. I found ones I really liked at Joanne’s but I didn’t want to spend $16 so I thought I’d wait and see what I could make.
Last year I found this garland at the thrift store and I used it on our piano in our fall home tour. This year when I decorated for fall I didn’t really have a place for it and before tucking it back into my storage containers I realized I could make mini wreaths from it.
I wound the garland in a circle with a width of 8″ and using my favorite wire crafting cutters I cut the garland. Since the garland is wire, I just twisted the ends together and that was it! Too easy, right!?
So next time you see a garland at the thrift store or even on clearance in a month or so, remember they can be made into mini wreaths!
Be sure to head over to Areeba from Mint Candy Designs and see her beautiful bed tray! I’d love to make my own!
